FBG

Overview
Fiber Bragg gratings are are highly versatile wavelength filters used for multiplexing and demultiplexing wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) signals.

These devices have fiber cores that offer sinusoidal variation of the refractive index. This variation changes the light phase in the grating, with the resulting interference then enabling some wavelengths to either be constructive or destructive. These

FBG devices can also can compensate for chromatic dispersion that can degrade the quality of the WDM signal in an optical fiber.

Features:
With its low insertion loss in the transmission wavelength range and high reflectivity in the reflection wavelength range, the Fiber Bragg Grating Reflector is the ideal optical termination for FTTX network link monitoring.

FTTX reflectors are suitable for both point to point (PTP) and point to multipoint (PTMP) networks.

Easy to install in the user's home, so as to determine the location of the optical path fault through different reflections of the test signal.
