ROADM - Reconfigurable Optical Add-Drop Multiplexer. This is a device that enables multiple channels of light, or DWDM, to be transmitted over a fiber pair. An ROADM module has a wide functionality and can be used to add, drop pass and redirect wavelengths to carry data channels, enabling comprehensive fiber optic network customisation.
